Vintage 1940s Green Shoes
Truly one of the most amazing pairs of vintage shoes I've seen. These are the epitome of late 1930s/early 1940's style. Stylish peep toes, scalloped vamp, and 4" high heels. Not to mention the little flair/wing at the top of the heel! Wonderful, rich shade of green leather. A great addition to any collection. I only wish they fit me! A rare and hard to find style.
There is a label but it's difficult to read. The first part I believe says "Tisco" but can't make out the second part. These shoes are very similar to a pair pictured in a 1939 issue of the "Boot and Shoe Recorder - The Great National Shoe Weekly" magazine showing new styles of "futuristic" shoes.
Condition - Very good condition with only a few things to note. Small scuff marks on one shoe. Soles are in good shape and show normal wear for their age. There is one tiny spot just below the binding on one shoes that might be the beginning of a tear, or it might be a small nic in the leather, hard to tell and only visible on close inspection. Overall the leather is in good and wearable condition but could benefit from a coat of leather conditioner.
Measurements - These are a small size. Approximately a US 5 1/2 or 6.nIt's best to measure a pair of your own shoes and compare measurements to insure a good fit.
9" inside from toe to heel
2.75" across the outside ball of foot
Heels 4"
