Pattern Use Policy
UPDATED 7/1/2022 At the Sign of the Golden Scissors/Larkin & Smith patterns and kits are licensed for personal home sewing, non-commercial use only. You may not use our patterns to make multiple items for sale without permission. Artwork, instructions and photos are protected by US copyrights laws and we ask that you respect our intellectual property rights, this includes not sharing images or instructions on social medial or YouTube. Our patterns and kits may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, used for workshops or otherwise used in any way without prior permissions. Please contact us if you would like to discuss using any of our patterns for your small business.
The Golden Scissors allows other sewists to create custom commissions for clients so long as a pattern is purchased directly by the client. In other words: each customer must have their own physical copy of our pattern.
By purchasing our patterns and kits you agree to the following terms of use:
~At the Sign of the Golden Scissors/Larkin & Smith Patterns and kits are exclusively for private, non-commercial use by the buyer.
~At the Sign of the Golden Scissors/Larkin & Smith Patterns and kits may only be used for commission pieces if the individual pattern or kit is owned by the client. In other words a client may purchase a pattern or kit and pay to have someone else sew the item for them.
~Commercial Production of At the Sign of the Golden Scissors/Larkin & Smith Patterns and kits is strictly prohibited.
WHOLESALE/MULTI USE
We are making very limited number of arrangements with makers and vendors to sell wholesale patterns and/or multiple items made from our patterns/kits. This list of approved/licensed sellers and makers will be updated accordingly. PLEASE NOTE: We have not granted permission to anyone to use our patterns for workshops as this takes away from our business and own workshop offerings. Please contact us if you are interested in having us teach a workshop for your group or organization.
