Shipping policy

Orders will be processed within 2 to 3 days of purchase. All items ship USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise noted within 3 to 5 business days of purchase. Shipping notifications will be send when your order has shipped. If you need a rush order please contact us before purchasing so we can make arrangements. At the Sign of the Golden Scissors will try to combine shipping whenever possible and overcharges will be refunded when necessary. 

We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

International Shipping - We offer international shipping on a very limited basis. We have a limited number of patterns for sale through our sister shop on Etsy. We are currently not shipping items to the UK due to the new BREXIT-related VAT requirements. We hope these issues will be resolved soon. Due to the complexity of the new GPSR regulations, we will no longer be shipping to the EU and Northern Ireland beginning December 6th, 2024. We currently do not ship to Germany due to packaging registration requirements. 

PRE-ORDERS - A Pre-Order is when customers order an item in advance, before it is physically available in the shop, with the understanding that said item will ship at a later date.

Pre-Orders with At the Sign of the Golden Scissors, when available, will typically run for 1 to 2 weeks before closing. After the pre-order is officially closed, items ordered will be shipped within 2 to 3 weeks. Shipping notifications will be sent once the item(s) have shipped. Please watch our website and social media accounts for special announcements regarding the availability and timing frame of pre-orders.
