GS Study Collection

At the Sign of the Golden Scissors maintains a small, but growing, collection of original 18th and 19th centuries textiles. We also have a number of rare/hard to find items for the first part of the 20th century including women's military uniforms. These items are used for workshops and special programs as well as for providing background and in-depth information for our sewing pattern instructions. 

The collection features an original 18th century gown, late 18th/early 19th century man's shirt, gown parts, silk and linen textile fragments as well as a number of accessory pieces.
