1920s Embroidered Dress
A beautiful example of Hungarian/Romanian Embroidered 1920s clothing. This dress is made from a very light-weight semi sheer cotton, and beautifully embroidered on the bodice and around the hem in shades of yellow and brown. Darted neckline, slight flutter sleeves, and tucks at the dropped waist, this piece offers some wonderful details in a very wearable piece. Closes at the sides with snaps and a hook/eye at the neck.
This piece required a long soak to help bring it back to life, it was yellowed badly. So much so that I was convinced it never started out as white, but look at it now! One stubborn spot remains at the front near the hip and some very faint discolor near the hem remains. Another soak in Retro Wash may take those away. There are two very tiny holes near the hem of one sleeve, no other issues to note. This dress is dress and ready for your next 1920s lawn party!
