Beginner's Sewing Class - Making an 18th Century Apron
Saturday January 25th (snow date Sunday the 26th)

Workshop Location Springfield Art & Historical Society 65 Route 106, North Springfield, Vermont 05150. The SAHS is location next to Cota & Cota.

In this class we will review and practice some of the most common hand stitches used for creating historical clothing. Fabric samples will be provided to practice each stitch. Each student will then put their skills to work by creating an 18th century style apron. Each student is responsible for bringing their own sewing items such as sewing needles, pins, thimble, scissors etc. and materials for their apron.
A materials list for making an 18th century apron will be provided after registration. Students are responsible for bring their own materials. (A limited number of apron kits are available in the shop. We also offer a blue and white linen check that is great for aprons.)
Cancellation Policy
Due to the nature and limited enrollment of our workshops, we regret that we are unable to offer a full refund for a cancellation. If you cancel 15 or more days prior to the workshop, we will refund your fee less a $35 cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 15 days prior to the workshop, we will have to charge the full amount of the workshop unless we are able to fill your slot, (based on a waiting list) in that event you will be charged only the $35 cancellation fee. In the event of inclement, weather based on our local weather reports, we reserve the right to reschedule the workshop to a later date. Students will be notified via email of any changes ASAP.
In the event of cancellations we are not responsible for any costs by the attendee for cancelled reservations or other travel costs.
