1770s/1780s Extra Large Silk Bonnet

One of our newest creations, an extra large black silk bonnet appropriate for the late 1770s into the 1780s. This particular bonnet was made as protype for a private commission. Made of one layer of silk taffeta and trimmed in the same fabric. Caul is adjustable with a drawstring in the back. 

Best for a larger head and/or worn with "big hair" of the later 18th century. Shown next to our standard size Larkin and Smith 18th Century Bonnet for comparison in the last photo.
