18th Century English Gown Pattern
This pattern is drafted from an original open front gown c 1760s-1770s. It has a stomacher front and robings, with a pleated enfourreau back. Included in the pattern are variations for simple working and middling class gowns. A documentation card with details of the original is included with every pattern. As a bonus, while supplies last, a set of ten long gown pins is included as well.
The 34 page Instruction booklet has step by step instructions with 20 pages of color plates to assist you with constructing your gown in a period manner. A pleating template is provided that will simplify the often misunderstood back pleats of an English Gown. This is a two day workshop in an envelope. Years of research and teaching experience have led to the creation of this pattern, which is professionally graded and printed.
The purple chintz gown is used as the construction model in the instructions.
