1950s Sak Fifth Ave Sophie Original Dress

Gorgeous late 1940s/1950s Saks Fifth Avenue Sophie Original dress. 

Beautiful black lace overlay around the bodice and waist, illusion neckline and miles of black chiffon with the skirt. Seriously one of the best pieces I've come across and in a nice larger size too!

Labels sewn to inside of skirt seam. Side zip closure goes all the way under the arm.

No fade, just hard to photograph the black color. Excellent condition. I noted one 1/4 tear in the chiffon near the waist but it's hard to see as it's lost in the folds of fabric. Will need to be gently steamed after shipping.

Please note, this was photographed pinned on my dress form to show the best shape. It was too big on the form.
